The project “My Memories of the Peniche Fortress Prison” aims to collect testimonies from the population of Peniche, in the form of short stories and personal memories that, in some way, are related to the former political prison.
These childhood and youth stories are small windows that let us glimpse the end of the sixties and beginning of the seventies of the last century, showing us life during the dictatorship, the feelings of fear, but also the small acts of resistance that the boldness of youth allowed.
